Germany is the European country with the largest turnover in the logistics sector. The reasons for the success of the German logistics sector are its central geographical location, the high quality of services and infrastructure and its close integration with the German exporting industry.

Thanks in part to the excellent transport network Germany has at its disposal, Germany has many logistics locations. There are a number of metropolitan regions through which the majority of goods are transported. These are the regions of Duisburg/North Rhine, Central Germany, Frankfurt, Cologne-Bonn, Hamburg and Bremen. What stands out about these regions is their connection to international markets.
